Escape To... Brook House Woods

As we dream of Winter escapes, this month we're heading to the hidden gem of Brook House Woods, a magical retreat immersed in nature…

Tell us a little more about Brook House Woods...

A stay at Brook House Woods is all about reconnecting with nature. From the moment you arrive in the woods, you’ll feel your shoulders drop as you take in the incredible views of the Frome Valley from your private deck - fire up your pizza oven and enjoy a long soak in the roll top tub. Keep your eyes peeled for small woodland birds such as tree creepers and birds of prey like kestrels and buzzards. You'll also no doubt come across hares and deer on the land.
You can take advantage of private yoga sessions and in-room wellness treatments or simply enjoy roaming the wider 300 acre estate with orchards, vineyard and hops. There’s also an on-site cidery, outdoor woodland cinema (open April-October) and tennis court.
The estate is ideal for both couples or group gatherings and can be exclusively hired.

Where can you be found & what are some of the area highlights for guests?

Just a 20 minute drive from Malvern, we offer the opportunity to immerse yourself in nature while still being just a 2.5hr train ride from London.
The National Trust Brockhampton Estate is 5 minutes drive from Brook House Woods. It's a traditionally farmed estate with medieval Manor House and wonderful walking routes. For more enthusiastic hikers there are the Malvern hills to climb and longer walks from Brook House Woods up to the Bromyard Downs AONB and along the Frome valley.
Don’t miss a trip to Ledbury to see the black and white timbered buildings on the heritage trail, stop off at 33 the Homend for lunch and browse Tinsmiths for some homeware treasures.

What's your favourite thing on the menu at the moment?

Our steak supper kit is a celebration of locally farmed grass-fed Herefordshire beef sourced from a farm less than 5 miles away, it’s perfect for cooking up a feast on your BBQ as you enjoy a romantic alfresco meal.

Which is your favourite Bramley product at Brook House Woods?

Our guests love the Geranium, Lavender and Sweet Orange Bubble Bath in the outdoor roll top baths under the stars.

Why has Brook House Woods chosen to offer Bramley and how do our values align?

We enjoy working with Bramley as we both celebrate the British countryside and are always looking for ways to be more sustainable and tread lightly on the planet. Our cabins are completely off grid, constructed from locally sourced timber and are designed to complement the countryside and woods that they sit in.

Are there any exciting plans in the pipeline for Brook House Woods in the coming months?

We are currently working on a new space - The Oast House, this will celebrate the history of the estate as a hop farm and be a great space for families and friends to gather while enjoying the countryside. It will sleep 10 across five bedrooms, enjoy a huge private garden with a hot tub and be a short stroll to the tennis court and on-site cidery.
We have plans this year to develop a vegetable garden as well as open our garden orchard for guests to pick their own seasonal produce. This will complement the foraging already available on the farm for those seeking amazing fresh and very local ingredients!
We are also eagerly awaiting our first batch of wine which will be ready in Spring 2025 and can’t wait to share this with guests.
