How to bring a floral touch into your home
April is upon us! The light at the end of the wintery tunnel is nearly there, and we’re turning our attention to how to bring a little Spring into our homes to brighten up the last grey days with these lovely floral touches.
We love the work of Lisa Vaughan Thomas who makes the prettiest embroidery work on napkins and curtains – including these gorgeous allium napkins.
Marika Sonne makes the most beautiful and intricate collage flower pictures to order – you can see the full range on her Instagram account and drop her a direct message if you’d like something made in a particular colour, size or even the use of a special flower. The layering, textures and materials Marika uses in her work, bring the flowers to life to create unique and one off pieces for your home.
An easy way to add a hint of floral is through a cushion on a plain chair or sofa. We love Romo Black Edition’s super cool water colour inspired floral Herbaria collection which you can buy as a cushion or even use the fabric to cover a tired sofa which would look amazing. cushion
For something a little bolder we love this flower block print and beaded cushion from Anthropologie. Cushions are great for adding dashes of colour were needed. If you’re feeling a little more daring, try several prints and colours, clashing can work, if done in moderation!
To add a touch of floral to your everyday how about one of these gorgeous
painted blue or soft pink side plates – guaranteed to put a little Spring in your step.
Or if in doubt, add fresh flowers!
